Interactive Actions

Interactive Actions enables the Automation owner to control the workflow, even when triggered by someone else. When creating an Automation, interactive Actions such as approval requests and ask a question can be included in the workflow.

Manual approval points in your Automation.

Allows the user to influence the flow of an Automation.

Who can be a recipient?

A user or a group must be part of a Blink account.

Does not need to be a part of a Blink account.

Via Slack → the recipient must be part of the Slack workspace.

Via email → any email can be used.

Connection needed

Slack connection.

Receiver’s response options

Approve, deny

The recipient receives a Slack notification or an email with a question and possible answers.

Response consequences

Approve → Automation continues to run.

Deny → Automation pauses. The approver can specify a reason.

No response → After timeout, the Automation takes the preset default response.

The recipient selects an answer, and the Automation continues to run in accordance with the answer.

No response → After timeout, the Automation takes the preset default response.

Record in the Blink system

A record of the approval request appears in My approvals.

No record appears.
